I understand your ignorance of the natural world, but your contempt for it , I don't understand.  The bond market rests on the natural world, Exxon doesn't make the O2 that keeps you pounding out on the keyboard on these threads.  Nature does, and she bats last.  If you really believe we have a light touch on the planet, I have condo in Tripoli I need to sell to you.

In January I mark 5 years here , and I have been watching this place almost that long -

Fear factor: The approach to Narsarsuaq Airport is a bit like flying down a city street with tower-blocks on both sides. And then imagine King Kong sneezing at the plane, followed by a huge downward smack from above. That's pretty much the sensation when landing in Greenland. Once you've dodged the air pockets and unpredictable wind shear, you've then got to handle towering icebergs on the flight path, which on a cloudy day appear as fluffy clouds on the horizon. Think Titanic in the sky.

Plane spotter: Only pilots with indepth knowledge of the area's meteorological trends and geographical understanding, can even attempt to land or take-off in Narsarsuaq. To be on the safe side, take-offs are only allowed in the daytime, and each take-off is carefully orchestrated.

This airport is where Greenland was jumping 1/4th of an inch in 5 months.

As the clip was being shot.

Back to the glacier, this is 6 years old in the same spot :

Program Description

Greenland's Jakobshavn glacier dumps more water into the ocean in a day than New York City uses in one month, and that rate is double what it was merely a decade ago. Why the speed-up? NOVA scienceNOW correspondent Peter Standring accompanies scientists as they explore the complex dynamics of this massive glacier and try to unravel the mystery of its hurried melting.

Some people refuse to make the connection between man (themselves) and the warming of the planet. Unbelievable that we had to practically petition to get the Discovery channel to air the last episode of their documentary in the U.S. They thought it wouldn't be well received? Shame! On us, on them.

Usually, when one finds a cancer, they kill it. That is looking like the only option left for us. Kill the cancer.

Climategate Investigation Warms Up Globally: UK Police Seize TallBloke's Computers, DOJ Tells U.S. Denier to Preserve Records

Both Tattersall and a US-based climate sceptic blogger known as Jeff Id said they had received a "formal request" via the blogging platform WordPress from the US Department of Justice's criminal division, dated 9 December, to preserve "all stored communications, records, and other evidence in your possession" related to their own blogs as well as to Climate Audit, a climate sceptic blog run by a Canadian mining consultant called Steve McIntyre. All three blogs had received messages from "FOIA" last month pointing to the link hosting a second tranche of emails first taken from the UEA in 2009.
